If you’re encountering the Birman cat, also known as the Sacred Cat of Burma, for the first time, it’s easy to get lost among the different colors and names. Seal Point, Chocolate, Blue, Lilac, or Tabby… what do these actually mean?

One of the unique features of Birman cats is that every kitten is born snow-white, and their distinctive point colors only gradually appear during the first months. The final shades and patterns become increasingly pronounced over time.
In our previous blog post, we detailed how Birman cat colors develop. In this article, however, we want to show you something quite different: through our current available Birman kittens, you can discover the most popular colors you’ll encounter at Saba Birman Cattery.

Birman Cat Colors – Color Is Just the Beginning
Birman cat colors are stunning at first glance, but over the years you won’t be taking home a color—you’ll be taking home a unique personality.
At Saba Birman Cattery, we therefore introduce each of our kittens not only by their color but also by their temperament. We believe that true connection doesn’t begin with a shade, but with a personality.
